At the heart of our ethos is kaitiakitanga – guardianship of the land. Protecting this incredible environment is not just our responsibility, it’s our passion. We are committed to ensuring our wild playground can be treasured by our tamariki and mokopuna (children and grandchildren) for generations to come.

As you ride the Kaimanawa Descent, take time to pause at our storyboards. These share the heritage, names, and histories of special places across Tongariro National Park and the southern Kaimanawa ranges, offering a chance to connect with the rich culture woven through these landscapes.

Kaimanawa Alpine Adventures is proud to be the sister company of Helisika Ltd, based on Poronui Station. For nearly 30 years, Helisika has been flying hunters and fly fishers deep into the Kaimanawa and Kaweka ranges. As a trusted, family – owned company, we have built a reputation for outstanding safety and exceptional service – values we continue to uphold today.
