Experience the Kaimanawa Descent, a 23km Grade 3 heli mountain biking adventure through the spectacular Kaimanawa Ranges. Begin with a helicopter flight to the Patutu Tops at 1,673m, then ride our private, purpose-built backcountry trail through alpine tussock and native beech forest, enjoying incredible views across the Central Plateau before finishing back at base.
Explore the remote beauty of the Kaimanawa Ranges with our heli-hiking adventures. Begin with a helicopter flight to your starting point on the Kaimanawa Descent trail, before setting off on foot. Choose from two hiking options to suit your fitness level, taking in spectacular alpine landscapes, native beech forest and incredible views across the Central Plateau.
